Not yet. I rang the Jeep dealer and explained the situation. The dealer said they would speak with Jeep Australia and see if they were willing to cover the replacement cost. That was on Monday, I've heard zero back so far.

I got hold of an ODB2 scanner, the only event was a Stored DTC of P2800 which is a generic transmission error. I'm guessing that means the system doesn't see any issue with the sensor, it's just gone, either dead or a flat battery I assume.

Any tyre shop can replace the sensor. Just need to break the bead and pull the sensor out. I am lead to believe you don't need genuine ones and that the chinese cheap copies work fine. Mate who owns a tyre shop told me he uses them on heaps of vehicles with no issue.

Thanks mate. They are inexpensive on eBay, but there are a few different frequencies. Then I'm guessing it will need to be programmed in to the car so the system knows to read it?

I've got a bit of reading to do
