Now the key switch only needs to trigger a relay and starter and new hei dizzy get full 12 v from battery and only ignition didn't need to be changed and it is the best mod I have done.
You could be lucky and just clean the contacts where it joins under the column with some electro contact cleaner.
did you use one relay for each or ran dizzy and starter off the one ?
maybe thats why my 308 started to run rough when it ran for a while ,electronic dizzy not getting full 12 volts, mmm !!
a quick diagram would be neat !!

Hey tassie, I ran 2 relays one for each ( use the relays with the inbuilt fuse). You can't use the standard wire for a hei dizzy, a standard coil runs under 12v when running, meter the wire with engine off then on. A hei needs 12v always or you could damage it.
If you shoot me an email address or a mobile number I will draw up a diagram and send it through, I would attach it here but I need to upgrade my taptalk on phone to send pics and I am working away this week.

Ha. If you're not over your CJ you are usually under it!... just replaced a leaky front output shaft seal only to have new one leak in the workshop before anywhere near the jeep??? ...grrr....at least it is easier to replace [again] on a bench. Cant tell if it was the seal or me at fault. See how long it lasts in action.

The 12.5s are probably pushing it. I can just manage to get 31x 10.5 to be nice. About to go through suspension/steering set up again after I sort new engine. Got a brace laying around and would love to try a 32 x 10.5 or even 9.5.

If you are going offshore for some parts that switch is half that price at rockauto.
