Default Parts

Yeah I just got a 2 core radiator fitted it is the steel / brass tank which cost around $400 new - I was told that the 3 core would not be much better as the air flow is restricted?? I also fitted a mod (switch)for my thermo fan (the thermo that comes standard in all XJ's for the air) you would be amazed at how much this can cool the vehicle I use it whenever I am offroad or towing up mountains or in the summer probably the best mod I have done

As for the original console Jeeepart should be able to help out, I priced one for my XJ 97 Classic which was going to be round the $600 mark. I went to Jeeepart on my way back from Fraser when I saw what you have to do to fit I was turned off it and never bothered, also enquire whether your computer will support all the functions of the console??(I have no idea if they are different between models of Sport, Limited, Classic, Grand etc)

Default thanks

well, I heard the same thing bout the restriction of air with more cores. I ended up buying a new 2 core brass n copper rad from aussie desert coolers for $330 inc post, insurance and COD to perth from wherever they are in the eastern states, it was bout $250 cheeper than buyin in Perth. I fitted myself with minimum fuss. This mod for thefan where could I find this....thanks shaun

Default Fan Mod

The fan mod is quite easy if you have a little electrical knowledge, basically a switch in the cabin when energised it drives a relay to pick up, then 12V across the relay contacts which drives the fan if you want me to draw something up for you then I will check out my car and post back - quite a few of us now do it in our club.
