Looks PHAT Brad!

Is that a smidgeon of negative camber on the front wheels?

They say this is the biggest problem with lifting the IFS on the KJs...a bit like lifting the back end of a Beetle!

Who knows, I might be a convert to the KJ cause in time, like Roy, if and when I can sell XJBlackie!

See ya at the Jambo 04....

Cheers,
Geoff S.

Once you have lifted the KJ it's best to get a front end alignment ASAP. They can easily dial out any camber.

yeh, was booked in for friday but did not get it done in time to get it to the shop.

a couple of shims and all should be OK.

What I am stratching my head about is that I have more rubbing than ever before with the lift in. Need to look into why before I comment further as it could be I get that bit of extra stear than before.

There are a couple of "side-effects" of spacer lift on KJ.

You are actually causing the contraol arms to be "pryed" apart and this causes the arm to be closer to spring and can cause rubbing, or rubbing on top bumbstop.

Also with mine, the combo lift, an OTT spacer is put above the stut, which pushes the strut assembly down so now the bump stop is not long enough. but this should not be a problem with the daystar lift.

Try putting on 32" tyres, then you know what rubbing is. I have had to do a LOT of trimming so far.

Also if you get the chance, remove the rear swaybar for a daytrip. Its amazing the difference it makes. I have mine permanently removed now.

....and Walker, maybe try a set of pump up Rancho's on the rear to compensate for the swaybar?

I do it on the XJ when I have the front disconnected and it's too muddy or inconvenient to reconnect, pumping the shocks up to their firmest setting goes some way to controlling body roll.

I'm most likely going down the Rancho path when the budget allows or posiibly will look at the long travel IFS off road racing set ups.

If the money hasn't come by the end of warranty it'll go to live axle.
