that bar looks pretty tough, i like it. there's nothing wrong with the arb either, it's a good looking bar too (unlike the wj arb)

Sort of.

I've been dealing with Larry, the 'President' of Trail Ready in the States via email. I have given him the order (but they dont require payment untill ready for dispatch) but he doesnt have seemed to respond - to ANY of my followup emails ??? I've got the shits to tell u the truth, so i'm talking to TJM about doing a custom front ALLOY bar (ARB Steel one is too heavy imo).

Have a think about this and let me know what u (ALL) think......

Check out the TJM website for a picture of the Holden RODEO 4x4 T15 Style front replacement bar. If you left the middle section tubing and got rid of the outer tubes, the style would end up being extremely similar to the ARB one. I like the T15 style with the front cut out sections for ventilation and the angles are really sharp (to look at). I think it would look magic.

I wouldnt have it in polished alloy though (only if it looked shit hot), i'd get it colour coded to the black paintwork on my car.

T'would be cool indeed.

Personally I don't like the ventilation cutouts myself, I think they make it look a bit 'busy', not to mention that they'll reduce its strength. But then I'm guessing you're not necessarily worried about strength and just want it to be lighter? Plus, there's nowhere to put your fog lights, and the winch sits a bit lower than in the ARB (i.e. it's more likely to get hit by stuff, and gummed up with mud).

Theres some talk about some cool looking Aluminium bumpers here;
http://www.lostkjs.com/forum/phpBB2/...pic.php?t=6089
And they've quoted something like US$1200 for a KJ bumper, what are TJM saying it'll cost?

Anyone here good at the old PhotoShop ?? I'd love to see a square on (front on) & side profile shot of the current model KJ with that Aluminium T15 Rodeo front bar.

Anyone upto it ??

Right, I'm no expert in Photoshop (actually it's the Gimp, and it's late, and I'm tired, and a little bit pi$$ed) but here's my effort.
As you say, it looks surprisingly much like the ARB. But shiny.

(original here)
