I towed my brothers v8 valiant on a car trailer behind my car. I sat on 90-95 the whole way and it was only about 100kms trip but still it climbed the hills easy and didnt get hot once. Damn the jeep dropped in the ass though.

My dad towed a massey ferguson on a car trailer behind his cherokee. That one kept the speed down to 60-70 but she did it. It lifted the ass of the cherokee off the ground when unloading it though.... Id never seen anything like it, so we had people sitting on the drawbar and in the back of the car to keep it down

Mark - u have the ultimate towing machine...dont worry bout towing a trailored car - yer wrig is up to it! remember, the XJ has the highest tow rated capacity of ANY wrig in Australia - something like 3.5 ton in stock form!!!

Don't worry i'll be giving the RAC guy Rodges address too when mine breaks down or just take Rodge on every trip i do.

you doing the Harvey run Mark ??

I would have love to, however im heading up to Wedge on the 14th with some family and friends. Should post it up and see if anyone else is keen to attend.

cool yeah i got a say i'm warming up to a bit of sand fun. I've been reading about the old wedge run could be under threat in a couple of years.
