I can get complete units from Rockauto for around $100 each but wondering if anyone has had experience with this before I pull the trigger and add them to the next order.

Need to replace a tail light as well as the drivers side unit is cracked and the girl is a bit ******** about this sort of thing.
I am currently wrecking a V8 (just removed the engine and transmission) and I have now 3 sets of front headlights (used to have a donor V8 prior for the V8 I a wrecking now). I can give you some stuff for free or for small money if you like. You would need to pay the sending cost though. I am driving now a Diesel model and lots of the parts in the V8 does not fit in the CRD model.

Old days Yup when the lenses were cast into the glass but with clear lenses and parabolics its usually down to the adjustments.

I've had it before where LHD headights aimed up fine which was why I was asking

Cheers Joerg, The units are functional just aged and I'll give them a light buff and see how they come up before taking you up on your kind offer.

Yeah makes sense. The ones I have are all pretty yellowed up. so you would need to do them as well. I have one pair on the Jeep I wrecking right now, where i did the buffing and then used a sun resistant clear coat. Nonetheless it is still starting to fogging up. the effort is rather low, when you take them out. There are plenty of videos on youtube how you can restore the original looks. I used different grades of sand paper and water and then the clear coat and then a good buffing product to polish the shit out of it.

Let me know if there is something else you might need.

Thanks Joerg,

I usually mask off paint and plastics and do them in situ with a digital orbital buff, black polish pad, green cutting compound for the clean and Autoglym paint restore resin polish for the fine buff and shine.
On low speed it makes virtually no heat in the process and works well with most Asian and euro poly lenses.
I'll probably pop the before/afters up but these are a bit funky so I may well take you up on your offer yet

Coolant issue fixed throwing a new radiator at it and yup I piked out and told her to get a mechanic to do is as I didnt want to deal with the Fan.
Mechanic, a Leongatha business was flat strap busy so it took a while but theres other stuff needs doing as far as maintenance is concerned.

Daughter trekked to Robe SA and saw the sights with friends and BF, Drove on the beach, Broke stuff (Im told front CV joint, commodore part) removed the offending part and made it home to Gippsland and im about to lay eyes on the thing as its thrown a code.

I still haven't found a WG of my own and I am looking for a Jeep friendly or specialist mechanic in Gippsland so I can send her to a shop that knows what they are doing and maintain the thing really well before it gets destroyed.
Even a good backyarder if all else fails.

Suggestion?
