Well done Fud.
How many hours you reckon it took from start to finish mate?
Were you nervous about doing it yourself or are you ok with that sort of stuff.
Well done again..
I bought it all through quadratec cost including delivery was around $1300

nice writeup - I can vouch for the durability of the 2lo kit - its copped several years of neglect in my np231 without a whimper...
was there much beef diff between the stock chain and the tera chain ?
Thanks Gordo, you re-use the original chain in the terra low, the only bits that are upgraded are the front half of the case, the input shaft and low range gear set.

I was a little worried but I have a good group of friends in WA that would give me hand if required. Time wise, I suffered a few delays when I was trying to get the transfer case out due to the damage in the case and one seized bolt in my RE belly plate, but once I had it out it wasn't that complicated to disassemble and figure out how it all works. I would definitely allow a weekend to do this job, but in saying that the most time consuming part is cleaning up the sealing faces and if the job went smoothly 1 day turnaround would definitely be possible.

Very Nice Azza. I like the Idea of 2Lo. Keep us posted mate!
Went for a short test drive last night, only negative I have is that the shift positions aren’t as obvious as before and when I tried to shift from 2hi to 4hi it kept on ending up in neutral. Hoping this improves with practice. Other than that it is a little noisy in low range but this should fade as the gears wear in. Also 1st in low range is crazy slow, can't wait to test it out on the rocks
