sounds like a plan
- nissan bush at axle end then
- johnny at the chassie end to keep it out of most of the mud, sand and shit

Usually the johnny joint goes at the diff, does give a better ride and flex. Unless your talkin about the uppers as they only go 1 way. Bush is in the diff housing.

I have custom lower (short) arms with Nissan bushes. I had JJ's that Calbah made as a Nissan replacement at one end but had to replace them with rubber bushes as I couldn't get rebuild kits.

I made a simple test rig to see how much flex I was losing........result showed that genuine Nissan bushes had at least as much flex as the JJ's.

Don't confuse Johny joints with heim/rose joints.
Johny Joints are good because they don't have metal on metal contact - and are genrally easy to rebuild....and with at least some brands the parts are VERY easy to get
As for recommendations - ask how many happy campers have Rubicon Express arms.....Although Currie etc are good too there's probably not as many out there.
I agree bush at one end and JJ at the other is the way to go. IMHO whilst a bush might give similar flex - something has to give and I believe bushes work better for isolation and JJ for misalignment.....not the other way around

Edit: Cheers
Wooders

I havnt had any problems with RE control arms with johnny joints at one end I just keep them greased up. After two years I checked the tension on the races and didnt have to adjust any of them. Easy to get parts in the country too. I do like the look of JKS though nice but not cheap.
