The RHS is only 2mm thick, not trying to overdo it.
Haven't really factored weight into it, but the intent is for the lid to be removable, by 2 people, so I am guessing @ 50kg max (can't be worse than a Jeep hardtop
Tis basically a square box sitting on top of the 6x4 15° angled sides, so;
Base dimensions = 1350 x 1850
Top Dimensions = 1050 x 1850
It's an older trailer, (Am told it is a "treg" trailer, i dont know how / if thats true. Originally designed for a "slide on" camper, which means the surface the lid sits on isn't flat, it's actually an upside down "V" shape.
This is making it harder to build the lid, although it has been designed around this, and the base from is 30mm 3mm angle, which rests nicely on the upside down V AND will create a good self centring "seal".
The frame is 30mm RHS, however the doors are 25mm RHS, which should allow 1.6mm for the sheet, and 3.4mm for a rubber "weather seal" when the door is closed.
As far as pics/sketches go, I dont currently have the facitlities to do that, unfortunately I can't connect into this pc(work) with add on devices, and dont have the software on it to draw with . .
