It's too bad you guys can't get your jeeps up here. $600 for a full conversion 96lt. 6hrs. time, and no booking time. I watched the whole event take place and an excellent job!

just been quoted $4400.00 for the conversion and they will only estimate a 10% drop in diesel usage they have never done a jeep 2.8crd also may affect warranty.

Also depends on driving use/style as it only uses gas under acceleration.

So for long distance driving there will be almost zero economy benefit.

Works best with inner city couriers and the like who spend most of their time in stop start traffic, with lots of accelerating.

There are a number of semi's out here running on deisel / gas it works automatically on revs at around 1300 revs the gas cut in and deisel out the saving is in cheaper gas price or was anyway only downside cost of install and lack of outlets outside city or coastal area .

I've seen them set to kick in when the turbo kicks in, that would make it very efficient for cruising. I've heard lots of great results from running D-Gas systems.
WA is the place to be for getting it done though, we get $3000 rebate instead of the $2000-$2500 the rest get.

As for petrols, don't know what you're waiting for, my 4.0l XJ costs me about $36 do do 400km on LPG (14l/100km, LPG @ 65c), considering it only cost me $400 for the conversion that means I make my money back in 8 tanks ($50 saving per tank). It really is a massive saving!

The main problem with D-Gas is that their not legal to install on any vehicle 2003 or newer. For vehicles 2003 or newer the dieselgas kit must be emission certified. Anything else is illegal.

Victoria is cracking down very heavily. Installers face massive fines and owner can be fined or have their rego cancelled if the system isn't removed.

I've read through all the major dieselgas manafacturer's websites (D-Gas, Torquegas, Dieselgas Australia, Eco-Shot, Peak3 etc etc) and currently the only dieselgas system that is emission certified is the one made by Gas Tek Global.

They have a write up about it http://www.gastek.com.au/cgi-bin/eng...e.html&Rec=169
