Most 15 inch tyres are only load range c or maybe d. Most 16 and 17 inch offroad tyres are load range e.

Load range e is arguably too high for a jk. It can be a struggle to get appropriate tyres in lower load ranges

I really want a 255 75 17 like is a factory fit for the rubicon in the USA. Load range c but only available in km1. As a km2 or the new bfg at pattern i think they would be a great balance between economy handling etc and off road ability. Probably a bit small for some people's preference.

You can still get the OEM option of Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour in that size. My 2008 came with it from factory. I'd link it but the Goodyear AU site is broken.

Hmmm, Tyresales.com.au have a few listed. All are AT at the most, though, and look more like road tyres.
