Second question
Who is going to fund the event?
Third question
Who is going to plan, recce and run all the trips needed?
Do I need to ask any more questions at this point.
I think SteveF's recent comments on how it could be done in the time available with a basic Jamboree cover your points. Just have a look at the other thread Jambo ...2014 to see what he had to say.

And as Wooders has pointed out, Jambo 2008 was organised in 6 months by a small club without great financial resources and in my opinion was perhaps the best of the last three. Over sponsorship or corporatisation of the event is not what people want, give them a place to camp, have a fire, and some tracks and most will be happy.

and YES I'll put my hand up & back my comments. Hell, the only time I left the site last Jambo was to do the rubbish runs.

i cant ill leave that up to the user at this stage , but they should consider being more upfront when making negative comments.(you may see it as constructive ?) people on this forum are not fools and immediately seen through it ,

.
Fundraising can also be done by presales of murchandise - which in turn is advertising for the event if you where to get straight onto it.

If you need help with that PM me, it can be all done (ordering, purchasing, payments, packaging & postage online by thew printer & a cheque sent to you of the profits. They will even break the job down so every couple of weeks when enough orders are in & do a print run, so the profit can be used to continually fund the event organising).

Must say I felt a little let down by the negative comment as well. Started me thinking that there was not going to be Jambo 2014. Then I read on and noticed the hard core supporters won't let it die. Glad to read that encourages me to really get involved if we decide on a Tassie venue. BTW if Tassie goes ahead we already have to people on the team, thanks CJ6. It also looks like some interstaters will put their hand up as well.

Also although we wouldn't have a Saturday night dinner. If Tassie it is and we camp at Griffin. There will be wood oven pizzas on the menu for Saturday night. Like Steve said we don't need to duplicate another Jambo. Every Jambo should be remembered for it's uniqueness. Going to Jambo again for me would mean meeting up with the friends I made at Jambo 2012 and having a chance to have a do some wheeling with good mates and have a few beers while chewing the fat.

Regards A
