I have picked up my new KK and true it is becoming less noticable the more I drive it. Still I can't think of a good reason why they would design it like that.

Mmmmmm might post on the U.S sight and get some feed back…. I noticed it when I test drove a Limited felt like it almost had no throttle travel to the floor. I also noticed that there was some down travel that did nothing and then suddenly the throttle opened…. bit like the 1st stage on a rifle trigger.

a lot of 4wds do this to improve fuel effiency. People dont like flooring cars or getting close so they stay away from serious fuel consumption. in a RR there is almost a button at 99% the way down where you really get pushed back in your seat but upto that point its very mediocre accleration.

I think youll find it has more to do with being 'fly by wire' throttle, they are notorious for it.
As for spacing ,if its like KJ then it would be dead easy to make spacers out of box section tube, either DIY or take it to local mechanic or engineering shop.

Jk's are the same but you will eventually not even think of it anymore as it will be part of your habit like turning your steering wheel.

The Discovery 3's have this too but only once you select low range. Makes it heaps easier to stay smooth when climbing over rocks etc.
