New four door Jeep showed up in our local dealership today.

Price is 25,000$ US. Almost identical cost as the older Unlimited. You have no idea how bad you want one, until you see one. There are diesel models running around near Toledo/Detriot. The few engineers we've been able to talk to confirm the sale of diesel overseas next year. Still subject to approval for diesel models here. But we're getting a diesel Grand Cherokee

You know I love the idea of diesel - but I just worry about the reliability of a Jeep Diesel......I don't like their track record.....So I'd rather 4dr Hemi

Only with the 2.5 isn't it with the soft head issue???
I'd take the 2.8 but would really love the 3.0 CRD in one!!!!

Yea i really dont know why jeep bother with the 2.8L at all in any of their range. The 3L is by far such a better motor. I would love that in my wrangler

Good point.

I'd prefer to own a Jeep with the WG's 2.7CRD engine than the KJ's 4 cylinder 2.8CRD. When it comes to diesel engines I'll trust Mercedes technology and design.

After the XJ's head problems I can't say the same about VM.
