Years before this one there was an old Blitz truck with a aircraft jet engine strapped on the tray. Dont know what they called it. IIRC some young blokes on a farm made it up out of an engine they got from some surplus auction. The thing only had cable brakes. All go _ no wo !
Thought the same the old Mongoose first bike with the plastic wheels, you where a pretty flash cat to have the first on in town back in the day. The short dress got me lol
Wow. I remember when trucks were a big deal in Australia, they were every kids dream, dont seam to hear of them these days over miley cyrus.
Dunno ya age Vards, but when I was a kid, we used to sit on the edge of the main road in our little town, waiting for the truckies to come by, then give 'em the arm up pulling down motion thing... ... worked nearly every time. . Trucks back then were aloud to use engine braking and air horns in town, without fear of retribution. And they'd use'em just for the kids entertainment, too. It was a good time....
When I was a young bloke back in the sixties and seventies, the last thing I was interested in was trucks
Anyhow, since this seems to be centered on trucks, see if some of you old farts, and some of the more switched on young blokes, can remember this cutting edge piece of technology.
