Alright, will make sure they wont mate. I can't imagine it'd do any good anyway, certainly not the battery playing up.

I'd be giving some thought to a faulty fuel pump.

So, just to throw another spanner in the works, went to start it again just now and voila starts up first time, although it did splutter a little and was running a bit rough at idle. Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, I turned her off and started her again a few more times and yep she worked...
WTF is going on!?

There is a softare update concerning intermitant rough or no start issue for the 2011 / 12 WKs maybe yours hasnt been done .

Oooh that sounds promising, been sus about the computer from the start. But it hasn't done it it's whole life, only these past couple of weeks, I'm not sure if that means anything.

Hard to say with out looking at it , not all vehicals suffered the issue , the software update was to be applied if a wk fronted with the simptoms & also applied reguardless when it came in for next service but there are many who dont get ther Jeeps serviced at the dealers & so dont get the updates applied
