your JK simply thinks it is a 2 door.

You should honor its thoughts and feelings by replacing your doors with half doors??

But this is true - being a jeep it has decided that you don't actually want the back windows to go down.

Hence why it wants half doors.

Heck, I would love half doors, the kids on the other hand.......................

Any thanks for your help, found the problem - the rear switch was unplugged. No, nothing recent, was at the stealers getting a new handbrake ratchet, ummmmm 10 months ago? Told you I don't use the rear windows much! They obviously forgot to plug it back in - no surprise here!!!, So 1hr of my time to take the console half off and plug it back in, working again. Now I'm in electrical mode may as well install my chimebuster.
Cheers

Ian.

Do the power door locks work? If your JK suddenly has decided it wan't to be a two door as Yom has suggested I would expect that there would be no signal going to the rear power locks as well.

It is possible I suppose that you disturbed something when pulling the carpet out.

Locks all work, just the plug. And yes it is true, if the rear switches are not connected the front ones won't work I feel better now.

the kids will love the half doors. there's a sense of danger about them which a full door with its window down cannot replicate!
