I don't get it. It started as a Rubicon and he took the stuff out? Or he bought it from Jeep as a Rubicon without the extras? Doesn't make sense... (puzzled)

far as i was aware the rubicon had d44 diffs not a d44 and 35 up front and 4.11's and the 4:1 transfer case

the sport would be the weaker system i would think in comparision going 4.88's nice but why go that far n not use the lokkas etc the diff covers look standard not the "arb special" ones the fotos show that yeah a sport with 4.88 diff ratios is better than the 4.11's but still dont think ya would go and BUY a "sport" decal for ya "rubicon" touchup paint is like $2 isnt it ? looks good but either way

All you need to do is take two minutes and look at the transfer case...

ARB dont have a D30 cover do they?
He must have a D44 up front if thats the case...

Jeep told us that the JK diffs are completely different to the previous generation Dana units. Apparently, Jeep wanted Dana to use new model names to avoid the confusion.
Can any diff experts out there clear it up for me? I've been telling customers that older Dana 30/35/44 components aren't compatible with the new gen, just to cover myself ( as per Jeep Aus advice ).
