Discovered this problem today, picked up my new 2015 on Thursday. Going away next weekend so thought I’d make sure the Van was all good. Same issue, plug lights in, turn car on, brief flashing of lights then dead and RH tail lights out. Have to turn the car off to get it reset.

Did a bunch of troubleshooting today and thought I had traced it to the LH marker light (which has always been a lot brighter). Replaced bulb with a 12v 5w and all seemed good.

In the process I had to replace the plug that goes into the car. Got it all back together and bam, dead again. I can however get it working by plugging in after starting the car.

@drover did you just replace the markers with LED, or the whole lot? At $20 a pop, I’d rather do as little as needed.

My side lights were T10 globes, I replaced all the side lights with T10 led's, the stop/turn combo's were originally led's and the side turn lights (globes) didn't cause enough drain to throw a fault but got changed anyway, I bought the leds from an ebay shop I have used before but can't recall name, was going to replace the whole unit but price was horrendous so just bought about 2 dozen globes, $20 odd for the lot, 1 or 2 duds but they have been working well for the last couple of years ..............

I have since worked out that the Jeep brain see's the drain of globes as a fault so will shut down the circuit that feeds, just changing to led's made it happy again.... if you just swap out the globe make sure you have the old one in hand to compare size as side lights don't have a lot of room and led's can be much larger... and don't pull on the wires, caravan are reknowned for using the least amount of cable on them.

Thanks man. My van is an old NZ classic from the 70’s so all the bulbs are globes. I’m going to try a few things today to isolate as it still seems to be just the one marker. I’ll probably put LED’s in them to be safe, hopefully I don’t need to put LED in all of them.

I think I may have pulled all the globes out then plugged the Jeep in and added a globe at a time to see when the Jeep had a spaz, I have about a dozen side and clearance lights on mine so would show up a big draw when I flicked the parkers on .... Led's and globes on the same circuit may not be a good idea...

Yeah we have Jaycar here, I went in today and got two festoon LED’s. So far so good, seems to have fixed the problem. I only have a left/right marker and then there’s the rear indicator, brake and park/number plate lights so not as may as you. Thanks for the help, this thread saved a bunch of troubleshooting.
