JTO has contacted me saying 3" may be ok seeing as jeep have the 2" lift available. I'll contact both the transport department and jeep tomorrow. As if mopars 2" kit is a factory option then up to 2" above the mopar lift may be legal here in qld.

ring your insurance company and see if they will insure you with a 4" lift mate... because mopar produce a 2" lift kit, doesn't mean a vehicle fitted with a mopar lift is stock hight. it is a stock vehicle fitted with a mopar 2" lift kit. a vehicle fitted with a 4"lift has a 4" lift above stock specifications and is illegal. this poor bloke is clutching at straws to keep his insurance, but i doubt the argument will stand up. another thing to think about when putting high lifts on road registered vehicles.
