There is what I would describe as a slight shimmy at around 30kmh when accelerating from a standing start.
The vibration is ONLY when on power as soon as I back off it is all gone...

I will check that measurement tomorrow...
Yerr I used to get the slight shimmy at about 30 too, usually at the same set of lights road which heads slightly down hill and during reasonably hard excelaration. Like yours back off, vibes gone.

This is worth normal driving, I don't normally push mine hard...

What did yours turn out to be?

I reckon you would know if it was your diff, JJ. Like most of us we all have developed a good ear for noisy diffs.

What sort of SYE kit do you have , the hack and tap type are only held in place by a small bolt in the end of the TC shaft??? Have you checked the nut holding the Yoke on the diff and TC front and back, they do come loose.

This is what my SYE looks like....

Essentially it was a normal hack n tap but I modded it as you can see in the pics, BUT it makes no difference to the vibes at all as I tried it with a normal transfer case with a normal slip yoke tailshaft (2x) and the noise is still the same, that was with less than 2" lift and it never used to vibrate with a 2" lift on a standard tailshaft.
I don't think this is the problem.....

JJ, Try rotating the tailshaft 180 deg first and see if that helps.

if not try in "increments" of the shaft spline, (pain in the arse with the hacky tap, but worth it for not spending $). the tailshaft is balanced and if 180 out can cause vibes (did to me!) .
