I have to agree with hunty, I found staun and others to unreliable. I now do it the hard way and I know its right.. Fewer hassles.. The concept is great.. in reality not good..

Thanks for the info guys. I might leave them and stick to my one by one & pressure gauge for now then and get some Stauns next year after I get my fridge off layby. Yet another thing that ebay sells, which is not very good it seems. Would they be useful for getting most of the air out and then use the gauge or am I better of checking out ARB for the valve tool, as I am hearing mixed opinions on the Stauns aswell.

Regards A

Smile due to inflation you now get my 5c LoL

Hi Mate
I say it would just slow you down to screw on the Stauns and screw em back off - I wheel with guys who use em almost every weekend and I haven't been beaten buy Stauns ever. (sometimes its close - remembering that the guys using Stauns are going to be plus or minus 3psi at best).

With my ARB deflator gauge (valve remover type) I regularly do all 4 on my JK 33's before the guys with 4 Stauns are done - and as I said before you more often than not hear them reinflating because they have gone down to much. I don't see the point in them - I can go down faster and more accurately with the ARB (No Offence to Stauns -I used to love em).

Cheers Hunty

Thanks Hunty because of that then I will save my cash, I could certainly better spend it elsewhere on the XJ. I have a screw on air hose that pushes on the valve, with the final adjustment done with the guage. It just means I have to do one at a time, lets face it what is an extra three minutes. Hec it takes me 10 mins to air back up.

regards A
