If we detour the immediate beach north of Lano and go the inland track as you suggested to Dide Bay then onto the beach to Wedge our group should be ok,i went with some friends to wedge afew weeks ago and had recovery duties of a friends 4wd on the narrow bottle neck part and very soft angled Lano beach,other than that one recovery it was all plain sailing.

im in but i'm not doing the beach, it plain sucks, especially if there are lots of jeeps, its too narrow to drive around someone if they are bogged in a soft spot, therefore you all get bogged.

after lanno ill take the road to wedge and wait for you with a cold beer in hand.

Sounds like a great idea...depending on commitments closer to the date I am in!!

Did an overnighter at Wilblinga last week and the JK flew over everything even the powdery beach!
