Read the thread above if you purchased pre a certain date in 2012 Jeep are fitting them if you ask. I sent an email to a mate with a WK2 2012 and he rang the dealer they booked him in the following week as they have them on the shelf No charge, actually was fitted yesterday.

From the attached photo you can see that the bracket which holds the tow hook fits perfectly. There are then 2 bolts that are supposed to go vertically through the tow hook, but there are no matching holes in the frame, and the frame is too narrow to make holes. These vertical bolts don't do much structurally -they seem to stop the hook rattling, and do provide some support if the pull is sideways. The hook would probably be structurally sound without these bolts, but I'm reluctant to leave them out.

Is there a way to fit the tow hooks off the 2011 model to the 2012?

Finally got my front recovery hook fitted this week after quite a saga.

I was meant to get it fitted by Leo Muller Holland Park at my 1month safety check but it was never ordered.

So even though I ordered it through them I saw on another post that there were some at a dealership in Melbourne who were selling them on eBay.

I then had cause to call CJD @ Albion regarding some skid plates I've ordered from mopar.com.au (another separate ordeal) when I mentioned it to the parts guy, Anthony.

He was great. He called them and got one or me and it was in Brisbane in 2 days. Arranged fitting and that's that.

Now, I could call Leo Muller Service at Mansfield but since I did their job for them in finding my own recovery hook, I figure they can still get the hook and have a spare for someone else.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

Clarkey.
