SO in a nut shell do youy want our local supplierrs to szupport the AUS market or the US market?????? Do ytou want local AUS $$$ to stay here or do you want to spend them overseas and support and offshore market?

I here so much in the news that we don't want to suppport boat people and keep AUS dollars here for AUS jobs!!!!!! DO any of you think buy buying off shore will help this cause and our economy?

Yes I fully understand where most/all of you are coming from in regards to buying from Ebay for the $$$$. Why do you think the AUS $$$ is so strong???? It's because we are supporting offshore investment, AUS exports %86 of it's resources, if we don't buy back into AUs then then the whole market is ************,

In short, NO MATTER what support you local importers so we have a good local/strong market that get s noticed.

dblaj, excellent example of an Aussie retailer taking advantage of buyers in Aus. Personally I wouldn't be buying anything from that retailer anyways, but as they say 'let the buyer beware'.

Let me put in a decent word for Doubleblack offroad though, who provides a reasonable price match for alot of gear (predominately JK). Most of the stuff I have priced, I could get cheaper direct from the US, but only just. For the sake of a 5-10% savings I am happy to support a local provider.

Oh and let me declare that I have no affiliations to any retailer, nor am I a retailer. (Probably best to declare that before you attempt to support or try and shut down a very valid thread).

Rip off, I tell what is a rip off. Those fancy HID driving lights made in Adelaide cost the company about $40 each to make and the mark up goes from there. Why the hell are we paying $500 a pair. And yes I have done my research on them; my mate designs products for them and the owner gives him a set of lights in exchange, which he then sells for like $400 on ebay. No Asian influence there unless he has a Philapeno wife who he sends money back to the family.

Regards A
