I dont carry much around on general day to day driving, but have a little tool bag I throw in for when venturing off road.

In it I have side cutter, pliers, a small 3/8in drive socket set (with adaptors for 1/4in and 1/2in drive), a set of torx bits, a set of hex drive bits, large shifter, claw hammer, large screwdriver, some fencing wire, cable ties, tyre deflator. I them throw a set of open end/ ring spanners and a 3lb hammer in the storage bin just for good measure. Spare fuses are always in the glove box.

That usually keeps me out of trouble!

What size hex/torx set does the JK jeep crd need?
Any random sized sockets I should carry also?

Thank you
Go to REPCO and buy their (on sale now) Hex/torx set (about $16) and a small tool set complete with pliers, screwdrivers, vice grips (long and stubby nosed), sockets etc (usually about $60 in a plastic carry box; some on sale now). I have one of these that I have always carried with me for years and it is amazing how it has got me out of trouble. Then add a couple of oversize sockets that will fit the axle nuts etc. Also a breaker bar.

I carry a medium size car jack + 2' x 1' x 19mm ply baseboard. Usual heavy duty zip ties. A couple of files; an hacksaw; an axe (not a tommy axe); a strong heavy (about 3kg) hammer; variety of screws, nuts, bolts, washers, 2 rolls of strong gaffer tape, wire (fencing (thick and thin) and electrical); solder and a mini flamethrower; silicone, the usual muffler fix, all the oils, puncture repair kit, sharp sheath knife or pocket knife (or good Leatherman); machete; 12v air pump; battery drill (charged) plus drill bits, tow/recovery ropes etc. and heavy duty cold chisel. A long handled shovel (square nose is easier to use altho purist would say a round nose one). A few strong tent pegs. Various sized hose clamps (metal), tin snips, wire cutters.

All of the above I have used.

Then anything else you fancy but probably wont use.

Cheers

Usual cheapie ring spanner/pliers/screwdriver/socket set.
Vice grips, hammer, various ratchet straps (probably the most commonly used thing too), Jumper leads, arc welding rods, Sunscreen, insect repelant, hat, small tarp, torch, leatherman etc.
If going offroad I also like to throw in my balljoint press which is also good for unis.
I also keep a roll of dunny paper which is handy for several typs of cleaning jobs (Glasses, Tools, Hanky, MrHanky, human claret, etc).
