You got ripped off BIG TIME, time for a return visit, a breakdown of costs and then a call to consumer affairs.

Changing rear pads is probably 45 minutes work on a bad day.

The only time I've taken my car to the stealer was for the first service, you know, the free one. This is why.

Put it on the Jeep facebook page, that is just disgusting. And ask for the old pads back, bet they still had life in them.

Thanks for the response guys. Might explain why its been hurting to sit down since they did the job. Its going back in next week for a new seal kit for the leaking hardtop so I will have it out with them then. Can anyone recommend any good mechanics in the wollongong area that I could take the jeep to for future logbook services? Thanks

Hopefully someone can recommend a good mechanic for you but if not go visit a few 4WD workshops, especially if you do do a bit of offroading, i found most normal mechanics are ok on cars but dont look at things properly on 4WDs, also while we are at it can someone advise if 5000k servicing is essential on 4WDs? i normally do 10K services but had a 4WD mechanic advise i should be doing 5K services??

+1.

Diesels are typically 5k, but what do you have and what is the log book interval?
