Pointless question in relation to the Grand as there is no other option but if you just want a general idea it's about 1/3rd the cost of an air locker.

yes, yet I've seen two WG CRDs who replaced the whole back axel to true dana 44. not cheap though.
Don't ask me how they managed with the ABS sensors to allow the gear working properly.

The ABS pickups were probably taken from the old axle and mounted on the new one. Provided the new axle has tone rings with the same number of tooth count as the front axles, the ABS will work. Another trick is to splice the signals off the front and trick the computer. (US - no certification style).

I believe ARB Airlocker are now available for QTII Quadra Trac non vari lok axles. Lock it in Eddie! I mean, Dave.
Not for Quadra Drive.

No, it is not still the case - the ARB airlocker became available a couple of months ago.

Good to see they're on the ball, they only had 15 years to think about it!!
