No, the summit bumper isn't removable as the other models are. And it comes with 20s. If you want to set up a car for offroad, the summit isn't good value, better to go with the overland. Unless you really want the summit extras. Zybane over at Jeep Garage did 'offroad' his summit, but it was a lot of work.

Cool. I like the front but as you say, looks like a lot of work. Still can't see the issue though, 20's are standard on Limiteds and up without ORAP. I will be swapping for 18's and trying to manufacture a set of mud flaps but that's as far as I'm planning on going this time around. Front lip doesn't bother me as I don't have a need to do soft beach work. Was amazed there are no mudflaps for the Summit, presume it's the same for the SRT as they have the same arches. Mind you, majority of vehicles I see haven't had flaps fitted.

Sure, but you pay extra for the Summit 20s compared to an overland.... then get rid of them. Sort of defeats the purpose of paying for the extra bling. But having said that if you get a nice set of Cooper LTZ or Nitto Grapplers on those rims and aren't worried about approach angle, the summit could work.

I saw someone on another forum was looking at 'offroading' their SRT, put a set of 20x9 rims and terra grapplers on it.

Apart from what Ben said, the Overland can be ordered with ORA II the Summit can't. Having followed Zybane's build thread on Jeep Garage the amount of work required was crazy. He said he knew it was nuts to use a Summit and would have been far better off using an Overland. Unfortunately most of his pics from the build process are gone, but it was an insane amount of work.
