You can simply buy a full spotlight wiring harness already made up and plug it in. Most auto accessory places will carry them, or for a lot less you could grab one on line too. But if you want to give it a go yourself this is how its done. This allows the spotties to be turned on/off via the switch but only when the high beam is on (this is the legal way to do it).
Didn't you have another way of turning on the spotties without the high beams... ? Have the schematic somewhere on my pc not easily found in all the por... err other files :/

Ahh that diagram! Yep got it. That was originally done for reversing-rear work lights but was adopted for LED's up the front for the same purpose. I have two switches, one to turn them on/off with high beam, the other to override that and turn them.on whenever. Its only hand drawn but hope it helps.
