Fitting a lift stuffs up the dynamics sensors Z axis correction, the sensor now rolls around a different point, causing higher readings and therefore "earlier" ABS activation.
Hey MM,
Is there a way to counter this?

I know my ESC has disabled itself because my steering is out, just need to dial it back in.

For us mortals..... the obvious solution would be to remount the sensor LOWER in the vehicle.... which probably means on top of the transfer. If you lift your rig by 3" then lowering the dynamics sensor by 3" would do the job.

Obviously would need some serious loom extending and a offroad proof housing for the sensor as stock its not designed for unprotected environments. The sensor should not be moved in X or Y as that would create other issues... just lowered.

I've never done it, or heard of anyone doing it but the theories sound. I've just turned off my ESP and live with the yellow dash lights

Have you noticed whether it's only happening on left or right corners? Back in the early days of JK's I remember having issues calibrating esp/abs due to roll sensor reading 10+ degrees on flat ground. I remember that if i zero'd the sensor by angling the vehicle I was able to calibrate but could not get sensor to read zero on flat ground.

As for moving sensor, I don't know if it applies to JK's because they don't have curtain airbags but moving sensor around could effect the SRS system.

Just disable the ESP, it's ********ing rubbish. Get into any twisties and it's woeful. Might be good for city dwellers who never hit the twisties but I found it down right dangerous.
