Default 245/70/17 on Moab rims

I'm running Yokohama Geolander AT-S tyres in a LT245/70/17 on JK Moab rims.

Great tyres, no rubbing and they are the largest size you can fit in the spare wheel well and have the floor sit flat whilst inflated.

Any factory standard JK 17" rim will have a minimum of 44mm backspacing and will reduce any rubbing on suspension components.

Don't know where you're located but I have a spare set of JK Moab rims on the garage you can have for $100.

There are a few speedo correctors around to get your speedo back to correct which also ensures your box shift patterns are still optimised.

Ive run stock size and now 33" . The 33" definately dull performance a bit but its still no slouch and pulls my fully loaded jayco swan no worries . Fuel economy hardly changed when the odometer inacuracy is taken into account.
Btw ive just fitted a speedo corrector for just over $100 and it was easy to fit.

I think it does, I know I have seen the screens shown on the video when surfing
on my DRBIII when testing on my CRD, but I am in WA for work at the moment
and will be home on thursday and will confirm then..

OK, thats good, 245/70/17 are on my list of tyre sizes. Not really noticing a power change is the thing i'm interested in at the moment, even if your CRD. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.

Ah, I didnt realise a speedo corrector would affect the shift pattern too, thats more important to me than the speedo or trip computer. Thanks for that info.

Turbomart, that is exactly what I want to hear, thank you. I have read your thread with interest (a while back now), nice Jeep. Which speedo corrector did you go with?
