Because the diff gears are old it is best to use 140 and it will need to be LSD oil, Nulon gear is cheap enough and comes in an LSD 140. 1 bottle will be enough to do the front as well.

Dark or light grey? If its light grey I would be slightly concerned that water has gotten inside. Normally it should come out fairly black if it been in there a while. Mine is usually grey in the front diff as I was using MBL when I still had access to it.

If it is greay check the breather on the front diff. It's right on top of it. Sometimes the hose breaks and water can get in.

It was more of a light grey. It did look a bit thin and watery so I'll check the lines. Cheers for the advice
