Hi Guys,

Sorry for the late reply.
Thanks very much with the pointing in the right direction.
Seems to WAY more to this then I expected.

So what I understand:
Buy the Metra unit for CAN BUS adaption...cause I don't speak zee German.
But the Mopar 2 DIN housing.

A few other accessories were listed in the Amazon add.
What else from this list do I need?

Cheers
Dave

You will need:
A radio bezel like this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-Jeep-Gr...9UcLgN&vxp=mtr (be sure to get the right one for your model year)
A mounting kit like this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/DOUBLE-2-DIN...1T4sS4&vxp=mtr
A CAN BUS adaptor like this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/METRA-Axxess...8AAOxysJxSPUsb
And a aerial adaptor like this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Metra-40...4AAOSwPcVVu5iC

I have just given you these links as a guide, and are based on a 2007 model. Be sure to hunt around for best price.

Cheers
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Mine is an 06 build - 07
So it should be the same...but I'll check anyway.

I was thinking about one of the Android jobber on Ebay.
Anyone have any experience with these?

Cheers

Default Update!!

Hi All,

I bit the bullet and bought a new head unit as JB hifi had 20% off.
Interestingly talking to the guys at Autobarn, after looking up my jeep on their system, they told me that as long as I don't need steering whel controls (Which I don't have in a Larado) we do not need to interface into the CAN system. He said everything would be as normal, but they have to find and run a new accessories on 12V, which they pull from the cigarette lighter...
Can anyone confirm this?

After talking to Jeep locally about the 2 DIN bezel, they can't confirm the correct part for my vehicle, even though I have supplied a VIN. It seems there is a shift model change between 2006 and 2007, mine is a 2006 build, MY 2007...so its a tricky one.
Patience did you manage to sort this out?

Cheers
Dave

No I think they are wrong. All WH's here have an amp located in the back quater panel & you also need to power the antenna.

Ah ok,

No probs, I think it is safer to buy the Can bus adapter as Patience suggested.
Has anyone installed a reversing camera, can you show some pics of your installation?
I am aiming to make it look "factory"!
