Is an ARB front bar a rated recovery point?

Having the recovery points lower than the strongest mounting points causes a pretty significant twisting force especially if snatching.

Pretty sure the proper statement is "Its intended for a 9000lb winch".
Theres no such thing as rating for a front bumper.

No one will 'rate' bumper recovery points. I'm not sure why as you will find ratings for quite a few factory recovery points on different cars.

Apparently there are no factory recovery points. The are tie points for transport. Cars aren't designed around pulling other cars out of bog holes. The cassis rails are only like 2-3mm thick.

Can someone show me/us a proper chassis rated recovery point mounted on the front of a jk? I've been looking for ages, and diy won't be rated unless engineered

Unfortunatly i think the bullbar is the best we're going to get, i have seen the ones that bolt through bullbars to the chassis but can't understand how the'd work, my uneek bar had a soild 30 cm of tubing extending the chassis point to mount the bar which i assume was a crush can or something

Short answer is "No".

Basically, to avoid legal issues, no manufacturer will actually 'rate' a recovery point.
