Mine is always around 90-95, when towing it will go to 103-104 when pushing it harder(uphill) then it drop when the fan kick in.

Oh! Where is this hidden? It makes sense. It could be sucking back coolant as it cools overnight.

OK, so its underneath the drivers side headlight and it catches all the overflow from the header tank,,hope thats the problem and a new header tank cap fixes it for you.

I'll be damned - it is too! I've never seen it, despite having the headlight out several times. I'll go looking tonight.

Hope its the cap gone a bit wonky and just blowing the air out and sucking in extra coolant when it cools down. Mate you have had a bit of bad luck lately,,is there a black cat in your street? Probably at a house with a hilux??

We'll I'll be buggered too. Ive' spent a bit of time in that part of the world and can't say I've ever seen the little bugger. I need to have a look now.

I found it and can see how I've never noticed it before. It's well hidden! It also was full to the brim. This probably explains things.

I sucked it empty with a venturi nozzle on my air compressor. The tank was too hard to get to, so I just popped the hose off the header tank and sucked it dry. Got about 2 litres out.
