Hi Drover,
I'm just about to do my belated 80k service in my Laredo, I've just bought the BMV, it's a bummer you can only get it in 4lt when only 500mls is needed for the TC

Trev I think you will find the TC will want 1.9lts of ATF+4 oil or Penrite ATF FS the BMV oil is only for the 8 speed auto 8HP70 box, DO NOT USE in the transfer case.

Have a look here at page 4 http://www.wk2jeeps.com/engine/Capac...wk2_Capacities

After nothing but good experiences for years with my first Jeep dealer at Narellan in NSW, I gave the local outfit here a try after moving north. On checking the invoice, I noted they'd listed Castrol Edge Pro A1 5W-20. They could not understand why I even queried it, let alone that I was annoyed. Needless to say, I've not been back, and now rely on Murchisons for service.

Cheers Drover, I was able to swap the BMV for the ATF FS
@4lt I'll have enough for 2 services.
Confusing offering 3 oils for that year range, I miss read the info. I appreciate you spotting that one.

Yeah Trev not wrong, you really have to look at the fine print as our Export models have a higher equipment level than the US models plus 2WD and other versions of drive lines use different gear boxes and TC's..........it can be confusing even the oil company list and well as filter listings need to be looked at with cross referencing to make sure you are looking at the right part/lube........ I have a folder which I list all the bits for my vehicle........ I did a comprehensive list for the WG CRD way back but the WK2 has had too many variations........WH/WK then transforming into the WK2 and folks get confused, the year model now is the key.............

Anyway have fun DiYing and don't bash your head......
