Thats why I don't like 20" tyres other than the price, not enough sidewall, not all that chuffed with 18's either I like to have some sidewall to take some of the shock, even just tar running a pot hole can take out a tyre in those 50 profiles.....

I'm running the Nitto Rydge Grapplers in the 18s, done nearly 30K now and impressed with the performance both offload and on road. Hardly look worn at this stage, they are probably not as noisy as the BFG KO2s I was running (probably subjective though) previously though better grip on road than the bfgs. Have noticed they have quite a stiff sidewall though doesn't seem to present any issues with beach driving.

The Ridge Grapplers look good, but probably a bit too aggro for me!

I'm also looking at the Falken Wildpeak AT3 which get good reviews. I notice that they are a bit heavier than the Nittos and Goodyears but not as heavy as the BF Goodrich KO2. Would I notice the extra weight on the highway? It's only a few kg overall, but it's 'unsprung weight'

I ran them once on another vehicle and they started off great but by 40K were very noisy, no matter what pressure I chucked them at 50K as they were going fast and driving me nuts........ I honestly don't think you would notice any weight difference unless we were talking something like 4kgs a tyre or more.
