If you call old mate at All Grand Cherokee, he will send you one with the newest firmware already in it.

Can confirm the module sent from AGC had all the new firmware...car performed better...fuel economy was a li'l better...tiny differences in evic messages on start up....as per the attached invoice I posted earlier...it was a new unit.
Failure in these units comes about through 'dry joints'....have had the local technician...read: Electronics Wizard....look at my old unit...confirmed circuit board required overall....ie: melt old soldering....redo board with new soldering...no rush as he said new board was 'more robust'

Yes the 643AA is the superceeded number for 2011..Sprayed contact cleaner on the contacts on the wiring plug and pushed it in .Fingers crossed.Geez looks like you can get Mopar ones in the states for around $100.00 US.
The only ones I saw were in the $400 range at my usual yank shops but that new ones, biggest problem at this time of year is are they OPEN ..... The model version as I can tell is up to the AC range so they must have had a couple of improvements....

My daughter is wandering around in Mooseland I started to ask her if she wanted to do some shopping for me and she instantly said I'm not going to any Jeep Shops or Gunshops, I am hoping she will stop by one of the many excellant Aircraft Museums, just a stubby holder or T Shirt would be good, a ticket for a flight in a Spitfire is more than the airfare to get there so I didn't ask..

BJ you should just get an old 'Olden I saw plenty of good ones last time I was in KiwiLand.................
