Also I thought the turbo coolant outlet was fully metal not rubber bits
There is a rubber hose joiner to I guess allow movement between the engine / turbo and the fixed piping. Before I left on the lap last year I had the valley hose done and the rear outlet hose done. the Z hose was still perfect at that point so didn't replace it...I haven't looked at it for a year so should do as it can swell up like a balloon...
My previous Jeep had that hose spring a leak but it turned out to be a loose clamp...

Thanks for the responses I agree that the likely culprit is the turbocharger coolant pipe rubber hose section, it gels with the evidence. So after multiple calls we've found a mechanic to do the job, suprising the number of workshops that said that they wouldn't touch a Jeep. And the original workshop dispite advertising they are a Crysler service centre rejecting the job! Hopefully we'll be back on the road by Monday and be in Darwin in time for my Chemotherapy on the 3rd. Why this pipe hasn't triggered a recall as it clearly isn't fit for purpose! The engineers at Jeep / Fiat need a big kick up their collective asses and need to lift their game!

my 2015 with only 50,000km turbo coolant hose was leaking when i bought the car. Turned out it was one of the factory clamps that was leaking .
I ended up putting a bit of 3/8 hi temp silicone hose in.
Been fine for the last 30,000km.
Not to bad a job, intake manifold off.

I have the tools, I have the shed, I have the capabilities just not the Inspiration ............. but I really should get it done/do it just for piece of mind...
Book 2 night at that caravan park at Movie World, dump the Jeep at 7 Slot and go to Movie World for the day, job done and no swearing and dropping tools in mongrel spots.... now for the cash to pay them.........

This is turning out to be something I may need to do as preventive maintenance one day in future too. I was ignoring this at the back of my head but when I saw a 2019 been struck with this - it has gone up a level in priority.
Just the time, money and a good mechanic who could get this done without ripping a hole in me. If it wasn't under the manifold area, I would ask the Jeep dealership who is going to perform the Z46 on mine on Monday to visually have a look at this. I don't think they need to go anywhere near this hose to do the HPFP as it seems to be at the front if I am not wrong, unless they have to replace more finding out there has been more damage due to the pump which they said is highly unlikely. Probably still worth mentioning it to them in case they end up going that far to replace something else fuel related.

I was going to ask why use rubber at this small section when they could use steel. The flexibility requirement explains it.
My previous car the Lexus RX350 had an oil cooler hose made of rubber (I know right) and that blew up right before I reached my driveway fortunately. And there was oil everywhere. One of my mechanic mates at the time said give Lexus a ring as he believes that has to be a hose that has been recalled. And to my surprise it was. Lexus did the full repair, cleanup of car and gave it back to me like new for nothing. Apparently, the recalled hose is made of metal/steel which they really should have used in the first place but probably didn't as it is less easy to install being not flexible anymore and requires more opening of parts. There you go even Toyota/Lexus cars do make mistakes or cuts corners to save time.
