The area around Spring Mountain gets regular patrol of Police Officers on Dirt Bikes and Council Officers handing out up to $700 fines. Friends who regularly go trail bike riding in that area have said that there's no chance of "doing a runner" as they said, as huge nets get set up to stop bike riders doing precicely that. I've been given a written warning once already with my rego details being recorded. I don't think they give warnings anymore though...

It's a shame really that we can't use the area now as in a few years it'll all be shopping centres and carparks anyway...

I know families who have been taking their kids there on the weekends with their pee-wees for a bit of fun for many years. It's the greater Ipswich areas playground. People have "grown up" in that bushland area an it's all going to disappear now!

we have just bought 2 1/2 acres over near Spring Mountain at Huntingdale Heights. Was going to buy a trail bike to ride round without having to go anywhere with a trailer....

They are trying to close down our local spot.

I think they need to try a bit harder to do so.

Until the time comes, we're happy to go play.
