Default Where to put recovery points on the XJ ?

ARB always used to call them recovery points but I have seen one rip out on a GQ. They are a lot heavier than an XJ and it was one side only. I think ARB are just covering themselve against miss use of those points as everyone I know here and in the USA uses them. I would however use a tree protection strap between both of them to half the load on them and it is also better for the vehicle to have it spread over both sides at once. Use a rated bow shackel ( 2.5 or 3.2 T ) to attched to one end then pass it though the snatch or winch strap eye and then to the otherside. This is so should ever a mount or strap fail you do not have the bow shackel flying through the air.
For the rear you just put the eye of the recovery strap into the hitch and hold it in place with the hitch pin. Never ever place it over a tow ball.

Thats what I am doing GoJeep..
I want to put some of those recovery hooks on and want to know where the safest place would be..
