in response to the rear window's, the back in can be rolled up and tied. there is enough space under the rear seat to store the side rears but they need folding. as long as the fold isn't squashed they are fine. put them in the sun after and they retain there shape perfectly. i'd be very suprised if they were to scratch. there are some products for sale that can get rid of the scratch's if you cant stand the site of them.
With the battery, i replaced the stock one with a larger unit. it takes a bit of stuffing around, but no one is gonna be taking mine in a hurry. because its bigger there is less room for someone to get there hands down the side and lift it out.

I hear the same complaints too, and I've always wondered what the problem was, the I'm always warm and toasted, so I assumed they were too...

This might scare you. 2 weeks after i bought my TJ i had one of my side windows stolen off my jeep while it was sitting in a shopping centre carpark. They unzipped it and took it. But since then been fine. Just an unlucky day i think.

Geez SC, its sad to think that only a fellow Jeep owner would have done that, especially as odds are someone had slashed theirs.
