The drive between Newns and the Glow Worm tunnel is pretty good (BlackFellowsHands fire trail). If you ask the right person at the Lithgow information centre you can get the key to an area I think is called the Spanish Steps which comes off that road. Good rock hopping area. At the Bungleboori end of the road is the Lost City. If you go the other way from the Newns road you go into the Gardens of Stone and Baal Bone Gap. Plenty to see and play on. Talk to Heidi at the Tourist Information Centre at Lithgow for more details. She drives her Disco around there a lot.

You'll only get the key if you are ina club and have done a clean up at Menai or helped at the Spanish Step working parties, well that's what they are spossed to do anyway.

OK. I haven't been to the Spanish Steps yet but I have been up BlackFellowsHands trail. I just remember a talk they gave the the ST4WD club one night and they said to call and arrange to get the key. I suppose they were assuming it would be a club trip.

Default hey Saxon

TJ is going well - my kids love it. Done a few things (through Suburban) and bought a few bits for it in the USA. Heard about your marine expedition. If you are still looking for a motor speak to Mark at Suburban.
Are you still Jeeping?

I think the last thing we want to do in the 4x4 community is sneak into places that we shouldnt be in. Coz then not only do we loose the ones we have already lost but anytime anything else comes up for closure the councils will be more than happy to lock off anything they can.
