lots of people do it quite successfully. However, you will have more articulation with a lift as the tyres will have more clearance under the guards

you might notice a slight power loss at take off too.. but its hardly worth worrying about..
31s with a 2 inch lift is a common set up

31''s on stock - Speedo is out, slight loss of power and economy - but seems to work well!! The Caboose has been around the country like that!!!
No rubbing on guards etc...
All was fine
Also saves you trying to lift it at the same time and spending$$$
Wait till the suspesion wears out!! Especially if you are towing - it will!
My two cents!!

standard is 29 and yes there is no real need for body lift just to run 31s, but depending on the driving you want to do you should definitely think about suspension lift. Second hand 2 inch lifts come up on here fairly often and can be had for a decent price. Or go for a new one if you have the $

just how far out will the speedo be?

how significant is the loss of power?

economy? will 31's sting me at the bowser?

what are the benefits of 31's?

for those here who have run 31's stock...does anyone have any pictures?
