hey yes i am interested! my dad got complete ironman shocks and springs 2" kit and it didnt lift at all looks lower than before. it was on a SWB maverick so it should hav lifted it something..

ill be interested for 70.. duno what postage will be tho if you can im at Adelaide 5083 thanks.

i asked my mate today (mech and engineer and he said you will see about 10mm or 5 forward and 5mm back of play with 2" blocks.. not enough to cause you trouble as i have the tailshaft with a yoke which can slide in and out. if it was a fixed shaft it wouldnt hold.

thanks

If you must use a 2" block make sure you extend the rear bumpstops 2" as well or the leaves may invert as the stock bumptops will now be 2" off of hitting the axel tube. I still think stock springs are too soft to cope with the extra toque applied by to them at the mounting point by the leverage the blocks allows, they'll sag quicker and bend easier.

Not quite sure where the tailshaft thing comes into it, all tailshafts have to have a slip joint of some type in them or you'll bust something as soon as the suspension cycles.

Cheers
Steve

whats axle wrap then? if i accelerate hard from a stand still my rear end doesnt duck at all its nice and stiff. i can put a 4ton boat behind my jeep and the rea end only drops 1" and with a full boot and back seat only another 1/2".. and im not sure if im running the stock rear springs.. its odd tho. my re end sits nearly 3/4 higher in the rear than the front yet im running stock springs just aftermarket shockies? seems odd to me.. ude think that it would sit level.

i am going to lengthen the bump stops just like GoJeep suggests aswell as the front. i will do my left but keep the stock tyres fornow and if need be change to 31's when i get another 2 of feel the need.

thanks

Axle wrap, when u accelerate it forces the pinion to raise so wheels go one way pinion goes the other. Blocks give more leverage on that action. Which can bend leaves. I think I got that right hehe

hey yup i asked my mate again and he said axle wrap is the twising of the diff on the leafs. he said that if i go to clark foam and rubber and get a 3mm thick piece of rubber ro fit between the block and the leaf this will help with the twist. it lets it twist only a little yet helps stop it bending the leafs yet he said i wont have any problems bending the leafs anyways.
