na they are hollow.. 2 holes in between the ends and centre pin. its not solid but looks fairly strong.. if it was made for a Hilux.. i cant see a jeep which weighs 500kg less being a problem.. im gonna take them both into school and put them on the band saw with a guide to make the 3* deg i need. then put them back in and i will also make t case lowering bits.. schools metal is free to me.. haha and do the front coils again with the spacers..

cheers

ok guys 2morrow at school i have a plan to make some stuff.. this includes the tcase lowering spacers off GoJeeps site and im also going to cut my 2.5" blocks to 1.25 or 1.5" with a 4 degree pitch..

DO you think that i should go for 4 or 6 degree shim angle? added with the tcase lowering i should still se plenty of SY insertion.

also the brake line braket or plate thats on the chassis rail.. can that be cut off and welded lower to give the brake line 1" extra so that the height wont pull it too far?

cheers for any help.

Only should have a 2* pitch to match the reduced angle of the transfercase drop. Any more and the uni's will be at different angles causing vibes. You only run 4-6* when running a SYE with a double cardon joint at the transfercase end.

one question.. does the jeep have shims under it already? or do u need to buy them? cos mine hasnt got any under it and im not sure if there is supposed to be..

There should be no shims stock. You only add them if you fit a transfercase drop ( a 2* one but never with a block as well which must be angled instead ) or fit a SYE fit a double cardon joint.

Remember that you cannot not run safely blocks and shims together! So only fit the shims with the transfercase drop and the add-a-leaf.
The shims can be bought from ARB #OMECW2.
Or you can run you blocks on a belt sander after drawing a line that angles up from one end to 4 mm at the other. The ARB shims are 2 mm one end and 6 mm at the other which is how I worked out quickly how to shape your blocks ( 6 - 2 = 4 mm of angle over 120 mm length )
