1. ARB OME 40mm kit, then the extra bits to make it into a Suburban 3.5" kit.
2. Very much so.
3. ARB in Richmond did the first bit, USA 4x4 did the extras.
4. 245/75R16 Cooper 'New' STTs on standard Sport steel rims.

I wouldn't bother with anything other than the HD OME springs. I believe CRDSTU is working with ARB on some extra heavy duty front springs specifically for the CRD. I'll be after a set of them probably, even though it's not a CRD, to hold up all the extra crap I've got bolted onto mine!

Unfortunately the Suburban 3.5" kit is no longer available. But you can fairly easily make up your own kit out of separate parts that will approximate it. Check out what makes up the 'Frankenlift' that the US L.O.S.T. boys (and girls) swear by.

And I'll second (third? fourth?) the advice to join a Jeep club. The training you get (for free!) when you join MJOC is invaluable and the trips are very professionally run. Always handy to have someone available to pull you out when you have an "error of judgment" moment.

remember with lift heights

if you are running 17" rims you MUST remove 12.5mm from your lift height to get your measurements back to us running 16" rims to give an average standard lift measurement running from the bottom lip of the rim to the bottom of your flare

i have some problems with what info you have in your vb garrage

1. pedders do not do a 3.5" lifted coil they state that you may get as much as
1.5 - 2" lift making mesurements of 745mm front and 735mm rear for 16" rim
and 755mm front and 745mm for a 17" rim

2. although 3.5" lift is available i do not of anyone who does a 3.5" coil for a KJ

CRDSTU is just about to put on a set of custom King springs he has had made especially for his CRD. I'd wait until you see how they turn out, and if ok, use them on the front (Kings can reproduce them as they have recorded the make-up of them and allocated a catalogue number to them) with OME struts, and then OME HD rear springs and shocks. All available in Australia without to much fuss.

Another alternative would be to use the Rancho rear shocks with the springs above - give a little more downward travel than the OME shocks as they are 2 inches longer.

Also, depends on whether you buy a Petrol or CRD - the Petrols are lighter in the front end and the OME springs will work ok on them - they won't work on the CRD very well.

As for ride height mine was equal on all four sides before we added the 20 mm spacers made from conveyor belt. They make sure with the extra length to the rancho shocks there wasnt a chance the back springs could "pop" out on full droop.

The lift is = to the surban 3.5" lift and there was no 1" spacers put in there to achieve this at all + with the stt's on it now it is 1" higher due to the size of tyre mines running now the standard s4's were a 29" the stts are a 30" as crd stu worked out when we spoke a few days ago.

Mine was parked next to a kj with the 3.5" lift while i was in sydney and there was an ants dick of difference in the heights when mine had the goodyear s4's on to the other kj having cooper st's on his.

Where now splitting hairs i think over this dont you moses ????

That's only going to give you half an inch extra clearance. The other half of the extra inch is up in the wheel-arch, not lifting the car off the ground.

There was a thread where everyone gave their measurements from bottom of rim to bottom of wheelarch. I'll see if I can find it. What are yours bluey?
