Well last night we got the call up that a mate's house was flooding and we had to go to the rescue. While we were there we had to pull another mate's car out of some deep water.

Here are some photos of our adventures last night and a few from today cruising in town.

Here's a youtube vid showing both the ship on the beach and the flooding in Newcastle last night.

My GF was stuck at work. (opposite King St Macca's) her car is gone and everyone else she works with as well. I drove up the flooded foot path to the front door and me and a mate helped everyone cross the street in waist deep water. We pulled a few people out of cars that were stcuk and floating down the street! Even rescued a 3 yr old kid and his mum! I managed to get the XJ into Maccas car park (only highish ground) before the water in the driveway and street were up to my armpit. Stayed there fora few hours stuck there untill i got the sh!ts and drove over the drive through lane and nocked the fence down and drove up the flooded footpath towards the workers club. Lucky i got my lift in because in some spots water was coming over the bonnet! A few landcruiser GXL's followed me out. They had wet scared kids in the car.
The XJ stinks like drain water at the moment. Time to dry it out.

was down at maitland yesterday and friday..
so glad I dont live there anymore..
talk about nutcases behind the wheels of cars.. gave me a new view on brisbane drivers in the wet..
it was pretty wet..loads of water flooding the flatlands behind maitland.. nothing as severe as newcastle or dungog.
never moving back too bloody cold.. my nipples cracked..
was so glad to get out of hexham.. as thats where the rain kinda stopped on the way home yesterday.,.,

thought I might ad. it was kinda fun watching people in thier 4wds thinkin they could drive through waist deep water only to get stuck,,and then have to wait for help.. wish I was in the jeep.. but the hyundai is heaps cheaper
